Key Personnel

Robert Carter BA (Oxon)
Senior Partner
Robert is senior partner of Taylor Rose Law and a costs assessor to the High Court. Robert’s credentials in costs law are impeccable: he is a member of the Law Society costs group and the Senior Courts Costs Office costs practitioners group, and outgoing head of the Federation of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) Costs Special Interest Group.
In addition to that, Robert also has experience in conveyancing practice and over ten years practice in civil litigation, personal injury litigation and professional negligence claims. Robert’s experience and personable approach exemplifies the values important to Taylor Rose Law.
Antony Jaggard LLB (Hons), LL Dip
Partner
Antony’s practice focuses on civil litigation and overseeing the conveyancing department.
In particular, Antony plays a key role in Taylor Rose Law’s business strategy and marketing, along with being responsible for various areas of operations.
Adrian Jaggard
Partner LLB (Dip)
Adrian holds over 15 years’ civil and costs litigation experience. Adrian is a key industry figure who works closely with insurers to establish their claims strategy.
Adrian regularly supports the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), Civil Justice Council (CJC) and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) in developing emerging costs legislation, and has recently been appointed to the CJC Court Fees Panel.
David Cooper FILEX, FALCD
Partner
David is a very experienced litigator, and has the distinction of being one of the first Costs Lawyers to become a partner in a solicitors’ practice.
David has the knack of being effortlessly knowledgeable on a diverse range of legal matters. That knowledge and expertise is shared by David in seminars.
David has diverse and enviable civil litigation experience including working on costs cases relating to proceedings in the Bahamas and Hong Kong and always brings to bear his 33 years’ experience of law.
Matthew Hoe MA (Cantab)
Costs Appeals and Test Litigation
Matthew first began working in civil litigation over eight years’ ago, and has conducted notable costs cases. Matthew is a nexus of information on the latest developments in costs and advises on emerging legal issues, and works closely with clients to achieve their strategic aims.
Jane Pearsey LLB (Hons)
Commercial Solicitor
Jane is our commercial solicitor who has over 18 years’ post qualification experience in both the public and private sectors.
Jane has assisted a wide range of clients including developers, investors and lenders in all types of property instructions. Jane is particularly skilful at effectively translating complicated commercial issues, with a particular emphasis on commercial property transactions, into easy to understand legal procedures to benefit the client.
Joanne Sworder LLB (Hons)
Conveyancing Solicitor
Joanne is our specialist conveyancer with over seven years’ property experience. Joanne’s experience and adoption of the latest IT ensures we provide a quality service at affordable prices.
Stephen Hines LLB (Hons)
Solicitor
Stephen has over five years’ civil litigation experience, regularly attending detailed assessment hearings across the country, as well as working in the Property department.
Stephen’s comprehensive understanding and exposure to the ‘front line’, particularly in respect of detailed assessment hearings, places him in good stead to advise on legal developments as they happen.
Paul Halifax BA (Hons)
Consultant
Paul is a solicitor and consultant to Taylor Rose Law. He has extensive experience in civil litigation, property and personal injury. Paul was previously a partner at Greenwoods and now manages a local firm.
