INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST
The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day operational service delivery of specific council infrastructure and applications. It would be advantageous to know or have an idea of Mattersphere 3E (although training will be provided), BigHand and Windows systems.
Key Responsibilities;
• Support and maintain IT infrastructure and applications
• Provide technical expertise to deliver IT change and project work
• Be proactive and self-motivated, strive to continually improve the IT infrastructure
• Create and maintain documentation, policies and procedures to high standards
• Test and install new products including enhancements to existing products
• Escalating appropriate faults, failures and modification requests to the relevant parties
• Ensure timely and appropriate responses in accordance with service contracts.
• Confident, clear and differentiated written / verbal communication to stakeholders at all levels
• Effective internal / external relationships with stakeholders and customers at all levels
• PowerShell scripting skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team unsupervised whilst escalating issues appropriately
• Use your expertise to recommend solutions for support identified repeat calls by helping to identify underlying problems with installed infrastructure or cloud services.
• Providing 3rd line support to helpdesk staff & train when necessary
Key qualifications and skills:
• Experience configuring and supporting; MS Windows Server 2012 to 2019, MS Active Directory, DHCP, DNS
• Experience using Citrix Workspace Virtual Apps and Desktop
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune etc
• A good foundation of MS Exchange on-premise and O365 Hybrid architecture
• Excellent problem solver
• Preferable to have an understanding of Mimecast.
