Manage the day to day running of the cashiering function adhering to the firm’s policies and procedures whilst ensuring compliance with SRA regulations

Work in a proactive, and supportive, manner with internal and external customers to deliver a high level of service

Ensure client receipts and payments are processed in an accurate and timely manner

Executing the telegraphic transfers, foreign payments and BACS payments with associated authentication procedures

Support the Accounts Payable Manager with payment runs

Work closely with the credit control and billing teams to ensure full compliance with the SRA accounts rules and support for dealing with residual balances and client closure

Assist with client to office transfers

Ensure the timely production of bank reconciliations

Assist with the SRA audits

Assist with the annual, and interim, financial audits

Drive the development of the cashier team so that it can scale with the companies’ aspirations and provide a framework within that for individuals to develop

The requirements:

You will have previous experience as a Senior Legal Cashier or Manager within a Finance/Legal Team.

A strong understanding of SRA Accounting rules.

Experience in leading/managing a small team.

Adaptable to change and working to deadlines.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Flexible to travel to other prime locations, including Bishops Stortford and Peterborough.

Strong attentions to detail.
