Management Accountant

This role involves but is not limited to: 

  • Support the monthly financial close process including the preparation of General Ledger journal entries, supporting documentation and subsequent P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations for designated areas of responsibility
  • Track and review monthly and YTD financial information against the budget, providing clear and concise commentary on variances in order to aid understanding of key drivers
  • Present financial information to Directors and managers from the wider business in order to aid with accurate business decision making
  • Effectively communicate issues and provide advice to other Taylor Rose offices, the rest of the Finance team (Accounts Payable, Cashiers, Billing, Credit Control) and the wider Finance team within the Group
  • Closely work with the department heads of designated area of responsibility in finalising the forecasting and budgeting for the following financial year
  • Respond to ad-hoc information requests and performing ad-hoc data analysis
  • Monitor and evaluate current processes for weaknesses and risks and suggest improvements where needed
  • Assist with the annual financial audit process ensuring all information requested by external auditors is produced accurately and in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Qualified / Part Qualified accountant with strong financial and management accounting background (ACA, ACMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Legal experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience of working in high performing teams with willingness to help and appreciation of the importance of deadlines and commitments and being able to multi-task. Ability to operate in a calm and friendly manner essential
  • Ability to manage relationships and communicate at all levels across all departments
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Professional approach. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Experience of using 3E or other similar practice management system; willingness and fast ability to pick up new systems
  • Ability to 'run with the program'
