Treasury Assistant - Contract - Part Time

This role involves but is not limited to:

Treasury Bank Accounts Administration

·         Assist with the opening, closing, and maintenance of over 100 bank accounts across multiple legal entities.

·         Ensure accurate records are kept for all accounts, including updating authorized signatories and mandates.

·         Help streamline the Group’s bank accounts to optimize liquidity and reduce costs.

Bank Systems Administration and Maintenance

·         Manage user access, controls, and permissions across 10+ banking platforms, including Barclays iPortal, Barclays.net, Virgin Money, and Santander.

·         Maintain treasury documentation and processes on Excel and Word, ensuring data is accurate, secure, and up-to-date.

·         Conduct regular audits of system access and documentation to ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements.

Treasury Compliance and Controls

·         Ensure treasury operations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining full audit trails for all transactions.

·         Support the implementation of robust internal controls to prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, and operational risks.

·         Conduct periodic reviews of treasury processes to ensure alignment with best practices.

Banking Relationship Management

·         Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day interactions with banking partners, handling queries and coordinating bank account setups and maintenance.

·         Monitor service levels and fees, ensuring that banking services align with the Group's operational needs and financial goals.

·         Assist in the negotiation of banking terms and conditions to optimize service delivery and costs.

Other Treasury Support

·         Assist with streamlining and consolidating bank accounts to improve efficiency and reduce complexity within the Group's treasury operations.

·         Provide support for other treasury-related tasks as required by the Group Treasury Manager.

·         System Improvement: Support system improvement projects, including updating the setup of bank accounts, users, and mandate structures on the Group's main banking system at Barclays.

Requirements:

·         Proven experience in a finance or treasury role, with experience in bank account management or systems administration preferred.

·         A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is advantageous.

·         Experience with Barclays bank systems (e.g., Barclays iPortal, Barclays.net) is an advantage.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for managing treasury documentation and reporting.

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·         Familiarity with banking platforms and online banking interfaces.

·         Excellent communication skills for managing both internal stakeholders and external banking relationships.

·         Trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive financial information with discretion.

·         Works well with others, contributing positively to the treasury team and collaborating across departments.

·         Ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.

·         Capable of working independently, managing and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
