Legal Q1 2020 Star Award Winner - Katie Valani

Katie joined Taylor Rose TTKWs' residential property team in October 2017 as an assistant. She then graduated from the firms 'Trainee Conveyancer Programme' led by the head of residential property Liz Lennox a year ago. Katie explained, 'the programme has helped me to become a fee earner which has developed my skills and knowledge'. She has since worked as a conveyancer in our residential property team in Peterborough, dealing with all aspects of conveyancing including sales, purchases, transfer of equity, and remortgage transactions.
When Katie was announced as this quarters star award winner she said, 'I was shocked, I did not expect the award. I did not know that I was even nominated! I am humbled in winning this award.'
Katie shares her key to success is 'making it happen, spend quality time on the file, and make sure clients are always kept updated. I find this helps with client satisfaction which is undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable aspects of my job.'
Katie continues 'Although one of the most challenging parts of my job as a conveyancer can sometimes be dealing with the third-party companies, but I can assure you perseverance is the best policy and will get the job done at the end of the day.'
Katie mentions that one of the most enjoyable parts of working at Taylor Rose TTKW, in particular, is her team and the others she works with, 'if I had one top tip to share with my colleagues, it would be, don't give up and believe in yourself.'
More about Katie
Katie was born in Dewsbury and needless to say, the most important people in her life (outside of work) are her family, 'in no particular order'. She enjoys going out dining and keeping fit. She listens to many genres of music and can easily get absorbed into films which 'make me think, usually a good thriller'.
Katies' favourite travel destination is Dubai, for its good weather, and atmosphere. She is looking forward to some hot summer sun when the lockdown has lifted.
