Are you Aware of Our Card Payment Policy?

On Saturday 13 January 2018, debit and credit card surcharges will be banned under EU law. That means no business can charge add-on fees for receiving a payment from a customer by debit or credit card.

Some companies may be increasing prices so as to cover card charges that way. We aren’t doing that. Taylor Rose TTKW’s simple and client-friendly card policy going forwards is:

We prefer to receive payments from clients by bank transfer or debit card. We accept credit card payments up to a maximum of £500 per matter. We do not accept American Express.

We have to set a maximum limit on credit card transactions otherwise we would not be able to maintain our industry leading competitive prices.

If you find that another business takes a card surcharge from you after this Saturday, please contact one of our commercial or civil litigation lawyers to find out how Taylor Rose TTKW can help with your rights and remedies.
