Which females are celebrating International Womens Day at Taylor Rose TTKW?
Head of Department for Family Law, practices as a family solicitor at our Lincoln’s Inn Fields London office. She specialises in divorce, separation, financial and children‘s matters. Here she talks about her passion for law on International Womens Day.
“I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a lawyer and decided to follow my passion. I attended the University of South Wales in 2003 and then trained at a firm in that area.
“I moved back to London seven years ago and opened a family law department at a firm on Shaftesbury Avenue before joining Taylor Rose TTKW in June 2018.
“I think women like Lady Hale, the first and only Lady President of the Supreme Court, set a great example, she is very inspirational!
“I’ve practised Family Law since my career began and it seems this field attracts more women than men.
“While I think our organisation could achieve a better gender balance on our Board, I feel the company achieves it overall by empowering people. I especially like the autonomy I have within my role. For example, I have been trusted to share my vision of a successful Family Law department and have been fully supported to implement that vision to shape and grow my department."
“I believe I can make a difference at work by striving to be the best I can be, and by giving opportunities to others in my team to contribute to the running and improvement of our company. Also by having a positive attitude and belief in my ability to achieve goals, demonstrating great teamwork, good communication and sharing knowledge.
