Sandra Brown, Family Law Secretary, London Holborn

Sandra is a secretary in the Family department in our Holborn office. She used to work for (the former) Rollingsons, when the firm was set up by Greg Rollingson in 1996. Now, as part of Taylor Rose TTKW, Sandra’s colleagues have nominated her in recognition of her experience, efficiency, and tireless commitment to helping clients when solicitors are unavailable. Sandra is always cheerful and, as Greg commented, “She is a ‘salt of the earth’ East End girl who will always go the extra mile to help and work later if needed.”

Sandra says: “My role at Taylor Rose TTKW is mainly secretarial and tasks include digital dictation, email monitoring, photocopying and scanning.

“I was slightly embarrassed when I found out I’d won - but actually quite pleased. The thing I love most about my job is the people I work with. Things get pretty busy here and the challenge is to always keep up-to-date with administrative duties." 

"I think my key to success in my role is being respectful to clients and work colleagues, being part of a team and the willingness to have a can do attitude. If I could share a tip, I would say it’s important to make sure you keep your work-life balance steady.”

On the home front, Sandra was born in London and lives with her partner and pets Mollie, Romeo and Tas.

“The things I enjoy doing most are motorcycling, boating, supporting Arsenal, travelling and dog walking. My favourite holiday destination is Jamaica because of the beauty of the island, its indigenous people and the food. This year however, we’re planning a motorcycle trip around Cornwall and the Peak District. 

“When it’s time to relax I enjoy listing to Soul music and watching my favourite film Avatar. At the moment I’m listening to the King (Elvis Presley), watching Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders and reading a Secret History.  My dream in retirement is to be surrounded by dogs and more dogs - while enjoying the odd tipple … I’m particularly partial to a Vodka Red bull!
