Daniel completed his studies at the University of Oxford in 2008 before entering a specialist litigation firm.
Dealing predominantly with Clinical Negligence matters, Daniel worked on significant injury and high-profile cases including some of those arising from the Mid-Staffordshire Health Inquiry. Daniel relocated to Scotland in 2013 and worked as Solicitor to NHS Grampian dealing with Healthcare Law, Commercial Property, Employment and Public Law. Daniel then acted as a consultant dealing with negotiated exit resolutions in the oil and gas industry, and became an accredited Hearing Manager, as part of the independent decision-making process for Aberdeenshire Children’s Services. Daniel returned to Cumbria in 2016 as General Solicitor to a local authority, where he was responsible for Regulatory Prosecutions including Fraud, Licensing and Planning, alongside Commercial Property, Waterfront Commercial Property, Environmental and Public Law matters. Daniel now lectures in law part time undertaking cases on a consultancy basis. Daniel has a genuine passion for the law.
Outside of work Daniel is dedicated to his family, and enjoys rugby, chess, history and the sea. Daniel was also an officer in the Royal Navy Reserves.
