Ammar acts for company directors, shareholders, small and medium-sized enterprises, private investors, landlords, property owners, professional service providers, associations and private individuals.
The majority of Ammar's work is focused on commercial and civil dispute resolution, often involving underlying corporate, property or contractual issues. With extensive experience advising directors and shareholders, Ammar regularly assists with business disputes, corporate governance matters, exits, share transfers and buyouts, breaches of directors' duties, unfair prejudice claims and related settlement negotiations.
Additional expertise includes disputes arising from commercial leases, construction projects, professional negligence, debt recovery and enforcement, contested estates and Inheritance Act claims. Many of these matters require significant strategic input before proceedings are issued, including risk assessment, commercial negotiations and settlement structuring.
Ammar helps clients navigate complex commercial litigation matters where legal, financial and strategic considerations intersect, providing practical and commercially focused advice throughout the dispute resolution process.
Recent work examples include:
Advising and acting in a dispute concerning the removal of a shareholder and director without proper corporate authority or due process, including assessing the validity of company actions, potential unfair prejudice and fiduciary duty issues, and preparing a litigation strategy to protect the client's position and minimise exposure to adverse costs orders.
Advising companies, directors and shareholders in High Court commercial litigation, including director and shareholder disputes, breaches of directors' duties, commercial lease disputes and construction disputes, as well as negotiating settlements to avoid or resolve proceedings.
Ammar was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and holds an LL.M. (Master of Laws), a Legal Practice Course (LPC) qualification from BPP Law School, and a first-class LL.B. (Hons) from London Metropolitan University.
An experienced litigation solicitor, Ammar maintains a broad commercial and civil disputes practice and regularly undertakes advocacy at interlocutory hearings and trials.
