Mariem advises founders, senior management, corporates and international investors on corporate and commercial transactions across the UK and the MENA region. Her work spans mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments, joint ventures, and shareholder and partnership arrangements. She regularly acts on cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions, advising on deal structuring, due diligence, governance and risk allocation. As a UK-qualified, Arabic-speaking solicitor, she is well placed to advise clients operating between the UK and Middle East markets.
Mariem began her career in private practice in 2017 and trained across various sectors before specialising in corporate law. She has since acted on a wide variety of transactions and has built significant experience advising clients across the Middle East, including in-house advisory work on high-value operational contracts and engagement with Iraqi state-owned and public-sector entities.
Outside of transactional work, Mariem has authored articles on corporate and commercial legal topics, particularly within the luxury retail sector, and has delivered legal presentations and training, including at Google Campus. She has a particular interest in the business of fashion and luxury sector M&A.
Mariem is fluent in Arabic, and is committed to bridging legal and cultural expectations for clients operating between the UK and the wider region.
Mariem holds an LLB (Hons) Law degree from the University of Kent and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC with Business) from BPP University.

Led the negotiation and drafting of a complex Shareholders' Agreement for a strategic cross-border joint venture, advising on governance, reserved matters, deadlock mechanisms and dispute resolution.
Led a cross-functional due diligence team on a French media group's £15m acquisition of a UK media agency, identifying key risks and consolidating findings into a comprehensive due diligence report.
