Michael works with a wide range of private clients, from individuals putting their first Will in place to couples planning for the future, high-net-worth clients requiring tax-efficient strategies, and families navigating more complex or blended family arrangements. Michael also regularly supports vulnerable clients, as well as parents planning for children or dependants who need long-term protection.

His work covers all core areas of private client practice, including drafting simple and complex Wills, inheritance-tax planning, and creating trusts for asset protection or vulnerable beneficiaries. He prepares and registers both types of Lasting Power of Attorney, providing clear guidance for attorneys and those with capacity concerns.

Michael also handles the full probate and estate administration process, from obtaining the Grant and completing IHT forms to collecting assets, liaising with HMRC and financial institutions, and preparing final estate accounts. Whether the estate is straightforward or involves property, business assets, or more complex circumstances, Michael offers a personalised, efficient, and supportive service at every stage.

Michael qualified in 2023 and holds a Master Degree LLM.

Recent work examples include:

• Advised a married couple with a blended family on creating tax-efficient Wills and a Life Interest Trust to protect children from previous relationships while ensuring the surviving spouse remained fully provided for.

• Handled a full estate administration for a high-value estate involving property, multiple investment accounts and IHT400 reporting, obtaining the Grant, dealing with HMRC, and preparing final estate accounts for the executors.

• Prepared and registered LPAs for an elderly client with early-stage dementia, working closely with their family to ensure clear attorney responsibilities and future financial safeguarding were properly documented.
