Emma is a Consultant Employment Solicitor with over 20 years of post-qualification experience. She has been recognised as a Key Lawyer for employment law in The Legal 500 directory and is a member of the Law Society and the Employment Lawyers Association.
Emma has dedicated her career to employment law and HR practice, gaining extensive experience both in-house and in private practice. Her previous roles include working as an in-house lawyer for ISS Facility Services UK and one of the UK’s largest animal charities. She has also headed the HR Department at the Royal Ballet School and has significant experience working within HR teams, particularly in employee relations and policy matters.
Emma advises both employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Her expertise includes negotiating settlements, bringing and defending Employment Tribunal claims, and supporting HR teams with complex employee relations issues.
She regularly advises employees on the terms and legal effect of settlement agreements, ensuring they understand their rights and the implications of the agreement. Emma also drafts bespoke settlement agreements for employers, as well as reviewing and updating contracts of employment, policies and procedures.
