Margaret has a Law degree from the University of London and qualified as a Solicitor in 1980. She spent over 10 years at the firm now known as DLAPiper. She has also worked for the Law Society and for the SRA. She ran her own private practice for 7 years before selling it to a top 200 firm. She has specialised in civil and commercial litigation. She is a qualified mediator and has lectured in the subject.

Margaret has wide experience in all manner of disputes, from the very technical and commercial for major companies to the very personal disputed Wills and Estates and trusts. She is a member of TESCA.

Not only is Margaret a very experienced lawyer, she is an empathetic and practical person and a skilled negotiator who works with clients to resolve their problems.

Outside of work, Margaret is a trustee of the Catholic Diocese of Clifton where she chair’s the Risk Committee and is now on the Academisation committee to improve the already good education that our Diocesan schools offer across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bristol and Avon and Somerset.

She has been involved in the improvement of support for the students of Bristol University and UWE and to that end have undertaken some training in Mental Health Support, so as to understand more fully the issues involved.

Margaret also does pro bono work with students from the University of Gloucester to introduce them to mediation.
