Victoria Welsh

Partner & Head of Business Immigration

Victoria is a Partner and our Head of Business Immigration at Taylor Rose. She has over 13-years’ experience within her field from a 23 year career to date. She has previously established a successful immigration department in another City law firm and co-founded a Global Mobility working groups for an international professional services network.

Victoria works with a wide variety of organisations, from start-ups through to publicly listed companies. Her experience is across all sectors, with a focus on providing scenario-driven solutions addressing business concerns and timelines in a down-to-earth manner. She also works with individuals and families on their long-term immigration journey, including spouses, children and sole parental responsibility.

Recent work examples include:

  • Successfully obtained a sponsor licence and sponsored work visas for a global film production company and their staff entering the UK market, including heavy Home Office compliance audit scrutiny.

  • Project managed the UK immigration element of a global divestiture for a well-known IT organisation across several implementation phases.

  • Advised and guided an individual client through termination of her sponsorship and maintaining her ability to live and work and in the UK, whilst working alongside employment team colleagues.

  • Obtained EUSS, Dependant Child visas as well as British passports for children born in the US through surrogacy for UK and non-UK resident commissioning parents.

Victoria is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association, where she is a co-convenor of the Digitalisation Working Group, representing the Association’s members’ experiences and concerns to the Home Office and at ministerial level. She regularly submits contributions and evidence to Government immigration policymakers, the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) and the Home Affairs Select Committee on behalf of clients and in respect of calls for evidence.
