Bernadette Perera is a Solicitor specialising in residential property, advising individuals on the sale and purchase of homes, re-mortgages and related property matters. With more than 10 years’ experience, she brings a broad legal background to her work, having qualified as an Attorney-at-Law in Sri Lanka and as a Solicitor in England and Wales. Bernadette is also a Life Member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka. She is committed to providing clients with a clear, professional and supportive service throughout their property transaction.

Bernadette advises individual clients on a wide range of residential property matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, shared ownership transactions and lease extensions. Her experience enables her to understand the practical considerations involved in property transactions and to guide clients through each stage with confidence. Having trained and worked within different legal systems, she brings a broad perspective and a strong understanding of the importance of careful, thorough legal work. Bernadette also speaks Sinhalese, enabling her to support a wider range of clients.

Bernadette takes a meticulous approach to every matter, paying close attention to detail while keeping her clients’ interests at the heart of her work. She believes in communicating clearly and ensuring clients understand what is happening, what is required from them and what to expect at each stage. Outside of work, Bernadette enjoys keeping up with international affairs, an interest she developed during her time at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sri Lanka.
