Taylor Rose TTKW Charity partner of the year “The Sick Children’s Trust”

Wed 10 April 2019 Taylor Rose TTKW Charity partner of the year “The Sick Children’s Trust”

We're extremely proud to be working with “The Sick Children’s Trust” our charity partner for 2019.

The Sick Children’s Trust was founded in 1982 by two paediatric specialists. They believed that keeping parents on hand and keeping families together during hospital treatments, significantly improves the recovery of seriously ill children.

On average, 2 million children in the UK require hospital treatment each year and they are transferred to specialist hospitals far from home to receive critical treatment. The Sick Children’s Trust provides free, high quality ‘Home to Home’ accommodation for up to 146 families every night of the year. The ten locations throughout the UK offer clean, comfortable accommodation where the whole family can stay close to their sick child’s bedside during their treatment. They also offer invaluable emotional and practical support to these families.

There is no charge for a family to stay at any one of the accommodations. It does, however, cost The Sick Children’s Trust £30 to support a family for one night. The Sick Children’s Trust relies entirely on voluntary donations and every penny counts towards keeping these “home to home” accommodations available.

Throughout the year, Taylor Rose TTKW will be holding various fundraising events including; regular bake sales, dress down days and much more. Please keep your eyes peeled for updates from our Social and Charity Committee for details on upcoming fundraising activities.
