Jason has over 25 years' legal experience applying his professional expertise, diligence and dedication equally to every case.
He deals with most Police Station and Magistrates' Court offences including road traffic offences such as dangerous and careless driving, drink-and drug-driving and applications for Special Reasons and Exceptional Hardship.
He represents clients accused of shoplifting, common assault and public order offences through to more serious offences such as possession of drugs, high-value theft, fraud, affray, computer offences, assault including ABH and GBH, domestic abuse including controlling and coercive behaviour, harassment and stalking. He regularly represents clients facing applications for Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Stalking Protection Orders and Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.
Jason has extensive experience representing clients in the most serious cases such as as murder and serious drug and sexual offences. He has particular expertise from working on high-profile and complex cases including:
- The Rosemary Nelson Inquiry into the murder of the Northern Irish Human Rights lawyer.
- The Zahid Mubarak Inquiry into the murder of an Asian teenager by his racist cellmate in Feltham Young Offenders’ Institution.
- The Saville Inquiry into “Bloody Sunday” when the British Army shot dead 14 protesters at a Civil Rights march in Derry, Northern Ireland. The Inquiry is widely regarded to have been the largest and most complex investigation in British and Irish legal history.
