Property Litigation Solicitor (Lender Services)

This role involves but is not limited to: 

  • Effective management of own time, ensuring that chargeable and non-chargeable hours targets are met.
  • You will ideally have experience in financial litigation (either as a Paralegal before qualification, as a seat on your training contract, or as post-qualification experience), however applications from those with experience in commercial litigation or property litigation will also be welcomed
  • Advising mortgage lenders and LPA Receivers on all aspects of property litigation including possession claims, forfeiture, rent arrears recovery and shortfall debt recovery
  • Drafting and reviewing pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
  • Preparing and issuing court applications, including claims in the County Court 
  • Managing legal documentation in strict confidence. 
  • Conduct matters on behalf of Clients in line with their instructions.
  • Management of support services, including supervision of Paralegals
  • Financial control with particular regard to cashflow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
  • Providing regular updates to Client’s on matters.
  • Dealing with any queries raised by Clients on particular matters.
  • Submitting required documents to court prior to trial.

Requirements: 

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive 
  • Proven experience in property litigation or a strong background in dispute resolution with a property focus.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant property legislation.
  • Proficient in case management systems and IT applications.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible
  • Must have good time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commercial awareness and commitment to delivering high-quality client service
