Meta has over 25 years of experience in commercial litigation and insolvency disputes.
She advises on and litigates cases which involve, commercial contract disputes including set off disputes, disputes involving lenders and secondary security action including guarantee disputes, equitable charges and charging orders resulting in orders for sale. Meta has extensive experience relating to disputes involving directors, shareholders and fall outs within companies. She is often instructed on cross border litigation involving complex fraud, recovery of assets and her work involves highly complex or technical litigation disputes. Meta has substantial experience in dealing with contentious fraud matters also involving injunctions pertaining to the dissipation of assets.
Meta has a particular specialism in contentious insolvency work. Having previously worked for a big four accountancy firm, having had the hands-on experience she knows the need for giving prompt advice taking into consideration the commercial aspects of a case including cost consequences. She also advises directors and bankrupts or creditors extensively in saving assets and defending insolvency related actions. Meta advises insolvency practitioners, on corporate and personal insolvency disputes and can bring actions to recover assets under the Insolvency Act.
