Stuart is a Consultant and former Partner with MW Solicitors. Stuart has over a decade’s experience in dispute resolution, particularly in complex commercial and insurance disputes, and has spent in excess of 8 years managing panel appointments to insurance firms.
Stuart routinely acts for businesses and business owners in a variety of disputes including shareholders disputes, using litigation, negotiation and mediation as the primary tools to get results by combining his legal expertise with a sound understanding of the pragmatic commercial concerns of business. Stuart also acts on retainer for businesses wanting general commercial advice and litigation prevention, or risk management strategies as the business grows.
In addition to his legal work, Stuart is a regular guest lecturer on undergraduate and post graduate courses at several Southwest Universities.
Stuart has a growing practice in the Sport, Creative and Music sectors, combining his personal passions with his legal expertise. Stuart also sits on the Council for the Bristol Law Society.
Outside of Law, Stuart regularly plays as a guitarist and singer in both live and studio session work across the country and occasionally internationally.
Stuart is also a keen sportsman, enjoying Rugby, Golf, Football, and Sailing and competes as a martial artist, holding a blackbelt in Bujinkan Budo Taijitsu and competing in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu.
