Purpose: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Corporate Commercial team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of work, including corporate, commercial, employment, banking/finance and business immigration matters. This is a varied role involving client contact, administrative responsibility and assistance with the management of files and transactions. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

This role involves but is not limited to: 

·       Opening files and handling aspects of client onboarding, including conflict checks, AML checks and engagement letters.  

·       Managing and responding to new enquiries, ensuring timely follow-up. 

·       Preparing, issuing and following up on invoices. 

·       Drafting simple documents and letters, as well as completing standard application forms. 

·       Assisting with data rooms (including uploading documents).

·       Assisting with marketing projects for the department.

·       Drafting immigration application forms, organising application bundles and booking client appointments.

·       Preparing Companies House filings, and maintaining and updating statutory registers. 

·       Conducting basic legal research. 

·       Liaising with clients and third parties, in a professional and timely manner.

·       Maintaining accurate and up-to-date file records, ensuring all documents are properly saved, version controlled, and compliant with company policies. 

·       Managing file closing procedures, ensuring all documents are complete, and updating internal systems accordingly. 

·       Supporting the team with general administrative tasks such as scanning and preparing documents for execution. 

 

Requirements:

·       Paralegal and/or secretarial experience, preferably in one or more of the work types covered by the Corporate Commercial department. 

·       Strong organisational skills. 

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       High attention to detail and accuracy. 

·       Ability to manage competing priorities, and work to tight deadlines. 

·       Competent with Microsoft Office. 

·       Professional, proactive, and client-focused attitude.
