This role involves but is not limited to: 

  • Having responsibility for all staff within the New Business department. 
  • Responsible for the financial viability and budgets within the department. 
  • Working alongside the Commercial Directors within Property and Non-Property Fee Earning teams to ensure delivery of main duties and responsibilities. 
  • Proactively advancing own professional development and ensuring these align with the development of the business. 
  • Setting annual budgets for the department and keeping the performance of the department under review. 
  • Responsible for recruitment within the New Business department working alongside internal recruitment department & ensure attrition within the teams. 
  • Undertaking annual appraisals of staff within the department. 
  • Oversight and management of allocation of work across the business ensuring this aligns with individual targets to contribute to departmental growth
  • Working alongside the Commercial Directors to ensure that key KPIs are being met and are in line with the overall strategy of the company &residential conveyancing departments
  • Driving performance of fee earning teams alongside commercial directors to ensure continued growth and retention of referring relationships for Property & Non-Property departments
  • Analysis of KPIs and data to ensure alignment with strategic goals of business
  • Engagement with key stakeholders within the business to ensure working relationships remain strong and the reputation of new business remains high and seen as a trusted support function 
  • Train and develop staff within the team to ensure high performance
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote Taylor Rose services and the new business functions capabilities within the brand strategy for Taylor Rose.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a New Sales environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Maintain good relationships with clients as well as internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to build a team, maintain moral, supervise and mentor
  • Being organised, hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic 
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Setting achievable targets for the department to achieve & exceed
  • Ability to promote the New Business department for all areas within Taylor Rose
