ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
This role involves but is not limited to:
- Reviewing and approving invoices submitted to Chrome River by HOD’s and ensuring all coding is correct
- Posting any ad-hoc invoices to 3E and obtaining the relevant HOD approval
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Identifying and requesting missing supplier invoices
- Communicating with suppliers on a weekly basis and responding to any queries
- Posting court fees to client matters including investigation of unassigned courts fees
- Processing and paying referral fees
- Monitoring disbursements, posting to specific matters on the portal and processing payments
- Ensuring the payment cycle runs smoothly and effectively for both disbursement and overhead invoices
- Processing payment of Paid When Paid within 48 hours and Legal Aid Agency within 14 days of receiving funds
- Processing CHAPS, BACS, FastPay and international payment transactions
- Answering the telephone and taking client card payments
- Processing compensation or complaint payments (Compliance Request)
- Set Up new Payee Approval
- Maintaining and answering emails in the AP inboxes on a daily basis
- Ensuring that all statutory regulations are complied with including SARs
- Assisting with audit queries in relation to Account Payable
Requirements:
- Accounts experience ideally within the legal sector
- Being organised, hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Computer literate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
