Responsibilities are:

Respond to data subject access requests within specified time frames

Deal with data protection breaches via DPO Notification Form

Investigate possible data protection breaches and makes decisions on the necessity to report to client/ICO

Maintain data protection records of data protection breaches

Advise staff on data protection issues and provide training updates

Respond to ICO queries

Maintain ICO registration

Review third party contracts for any potential data protection issues

Provide support and information to client and lender audits

Collaborating with technical managers to design and implement internal frameworks and processes for departments and companywide relating to data protection

Prepare quarterly board report to update the business on Data Protection issues & matters

Research, write and publish Company manuals, policies and procedures in relation to Data Protection

Providing support and assistance to the COLP on legal regulatory compliance in relation to Data Protection

Providing support and assistance to the COFA on financial compliance matters in relation to Data Protection

Work alongside the ARC Manager in investigating complex data breach reports as required

Working with the IT Manager to ensure that the Information Security Plan is up to date and continues to meet business requirements

Participating in Operational Managers’ Group & Information Security Management Group

Providing support and guidance to other operational managers and heads of department to build data protection awareness

Communicating relevant updates to all employees/consultants

Requirements:

Good working knowledge of the Company and its departments and the work we do.

Sound understanding of regulations and legislation in relation to Data Protection

Good organisational and project management skills.

Good communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other managers across the business.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.

Ability to work to deadlines and achieve results.

Ability to balance commercial interests with compliance requirements.

Preferred:

Management experience and/or background working in a legal governance, risk and/or compliance role.
