Mon 4 March 2024 Corporate Q4 2023 Director's Award - Abigail Blackwell

We are thrilled to congratulate Abigail Blackwell for winning the Q4 Corporate Director’s Award.

Abigail is an account manager in the New Business department at Taylor Rose MW and has consistently demonstrated outstanding dedication and proficiency in her role since joining us in the spring of 2021.

In her capacity as a new business account manager, Abigail plays a pivotal role in nurturing and managing the firm's relationships with panel referrers. Her responsibilities encompass overseeing incoming instructions, ensuring their efficient allocation among both employed staff and consultants, and maintaining close communication with our referrers to uphold positive working relationships, thereby ensuring the continuous influx of instructions vital to the firm's operations. Moreover, Abigail diligently addresses any escalations that may arise, ensuring favourable outcomes for all parties involved.

One notable achievement for Abigail, has been her instrumental role in nurturing the relationship with Connells, which has swiftly grown to become one of our largest sources of panel instructions. Despite encountering initial challenges during the inception of this relationship, Abigail exhibited resilience and dedication in navigating through teething issues, ensuring seamless adaptation to new reporting, invoicing, and ordering processes. Her tireless efforts, coupled with those of her team, have culminated in the resounding success of this partnership.

When confronted with challenging situations or high-pressure moments, Abigail believes in the value of perseverance and hard work. She approaches obstacles with determination, drawing inspiration from the successes of her peers and seeking support and advice when needed.

The Director’s Award

Abigail’s win of the Corporate Director’s Award is a testament to her excellent contributions to the firm. Her innovative approach to new business development has not only facilitated job opportunities for her colleagues but has also significantly enhanced productivity, underscoring her unwavering dedication to the firm’s success.

Outside of Work

Outside of her professional life, Abigail cherishes her role as a new parent, having recently welcomed her first child into the world. This newfound joy has further emphasised the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, a lesson she has learned to appreciate more profoundly. Abigail also enjoys partaking in activities such as keeping fit and attending the gym, recognising the significance of self-care in nurturing both personal and professional well-being.

Can you provide some insight into the ways you’ve found to maintain a healthy work-life balance?

Abigail candidly acknowledges that achieving this balance hasn't always been easy, but her journey has been enriched since welcoming her daughter into the world. Abigail has realised that it's acceptable to have different versions of ourselves outside of work and it’s perfectly fine to give more attention to your personal life.

In celebrating Abigail’s achievements, we extend our congratulations and gratitude for her invaluable contributions to Taylor Rose MW. Congratulations once again!
