Taylor Rose MW reminisces on The British Conveyancing Awards

It is an honour to be able to reflect on the achievements of both our employees and consultants working within the firm. Two members in particular, of the Taylor Rose MW team walked away celebrating from  The British Conveyancing Awards 2023   after a successful evening.

• Rebecca Kelly, Director of Business Development who won Business Development Champion of the Year
• Mustafa Hassan, Consultant Partner who was highly commended for Consultant Solicitor of the Year

The British Conveyancing Awards which were celebrating its third year looks to highlight the achievement, recognise excellence, and celebrate those in the conveyancing sector.

Taylor Rose MW’s New Business Team is headed up by Rebecca Kelly who works alongside our Residential Property department to offer a variety of services to help make the conveyancing journey a successful and easy transaction for our clients.

The judges mentioned that Rebecca Kelly is “clearly a highly motivated and innovative individual who consistently demonstrates her ability to drive the new business team forward while influencing the direction of the whole business.”

Rebecca highlighted how she provides exceptional customer service to consumers, introducers and internal teams while giving examples of the tangible benefits to clients and strategic partners, on how she has helped Taylor Rose MW and how she has encouraged innovation within the firm and on our clients’ journey.

Rebecca said: “To win an award at such a prestigious ceremony gave me such a feeling of pride, to be recognised in a category with strong competition has given me hunger and strength to keep going.”

“The firms Business Development team, which I’m fortunate to lead, will continue to use their talent and unwavering commitment to build new referring partnerships based on strong foundations and to grow and nurture existing relationships,” she continued.

Mustafa Hassan was also highly commended for Consultant Solicitor of the Year. The Consultant Programme allows lawyers to enjoy all the rewards of working with an established national firm while having the freedom of self-employment.

Mustafa moved over  to consultancy in 2014. He has gone from strength to strength in the consultancy programme. He has become a Consultant Partner and having a team of over 30 Consultants that is still growing.

The ‘Consultant Solicitor of the Year’ award showcased how conveyancing has seen a boom in the number of “consultant solicitors” acting under the umbrella of larger law firms. The model provides an alternative route to employment, incorporating much of the flexibility and benefits that naturally come with being self-employment, but with wider support of a larger law firm like Taylor Rose MW.

Being highly commended for ‘Solicitor of the Year’,  is a testament to Mustafa’s motivations for embarking on a consultant solicitor career.  Working with Taylor Rose MW, he has been able to continue to grow his team of 30 sub-consultants whilst forever put the client at the heart of the services that we provide. Mustafa has built on his professional development and put his heart into learning about how the firm works and learn what has been expected of him as a consultant.

Mustafa commented: "It was amazing to be recognised by such a prestigious event within the legal awards calendar. Receiving a high praise in the consultant solicitor category was a great accomplishment, and it was amazing to have an outside source recognise the work I do and deem it worthy of recognition.”
