Taylor Rose MW donates £10K to The Sick Children’s Trust

Mon 22 April 2024 Taylor Rose MW donates £10K to The Sick Children’s Trust

We are delighted to announce that we have donated £10,000 to The Sick Children’s Trust.

The Sick Children’s Trust is a charitable organisation dedicated to offering accommodation and assistance to families with seriously ill children undergoing hospital treatment. They provide a welcoming environment and compassionate support through their 10 ‘Homes from Home’ located at specialist children’s hospitals across the country.

Each year, the charity aids around 3,500 families during their most vulnerable times, striving to bring stability to families while their children are seriously ill by providing accommodation close to their child’s hospital bedside. While the charity does not charge any of the families they support, it does cost the charity £40 a night to support one family in their ‘Homes from Home’, made possible solely through voluntary contributions.

We deeply appreciate the crucial role The Sick Children’s Trust plays in offering accommodation and support to families, and we feel privileged to be able to contribute to their admirable mission. This donation represents our honour in backing the ‘Homes from Home’, alongside providing essential utilities, bedding, and staffing. We acknowledge the direct impact these resources have on families during challenging times. Our firm is dedicated to giving back to our community and supporting organisations that make a tangible difference.

As a firm, The Sick Children’s Trust embodies our dedication to creating meaningful impacts in the lives of families facing adversity. This dedication is evident in our annual selection process for charity partners and our ongoing fundraising endeavours in their support. At the core of our commitment to charitable causes lies our Social & Charity Committee, consisting of dedicated individuals who propel our initiatives forward.

Louisa Bazett, Secretary of our Social & Charity Committee said: “We are very pleased to make a donation to such a wonderful charity, one that has offered support to families here at Taylor Rose MW in the past. The invaluable assistance The Sick Children’s Trust is able to provide families when they are experiencing some of the greatest challenges any parent or child could imagine, is astounding. We also hope this donation will help provide comfort, support, and respite to the families in the ‘Homes to Home’ so they can have the strength to continue fighting for their children at such a difficult time.”

Louisa added: “The Social & Charity Committee strives to support local, national and international charities carrying out valuable work to support families and communities, those fighting to protect and help the underprivileged and disadvantaged, and those whose aim is to help a specific group who are in need of support.”

Corporate Partnership Manager at The Sick Children’s Trust, Charlotte Webster said: “We are incredibly grateful to receive this fantastic donation of £10,000 from Taylor Rose MW which will support families for 250 nights in our ‘Homes from Home’. That support will ensure families can stay just minutes from their seriously ill child’s bedside when they need them the most, rather than having to travel miles from their homes each day.

“As a charity we rely solely on the generosity of our supporters so that we can continue to help families. We can’t thank everyone at Taylor Rose MW enough for all of their ongoing support so more families can be together.”
