Jikoa brings two decades of experience as an adviser to private clients and business owners. His legal career began with a company/commercial litigation practice working with a major client: Mercury Communications, an American mobile phone network company formed to challenge the then monopoly of British Telecom (BT).
Qualifying as a solicitor in 1997, he quickly added probate, Will drafting, Estate Planning, Lasting Power of Attorney and deputyships to his skill set together with commercial and residential conveyancing and commercial agreement drafting/dispute handling. Jikoa’s experience has equipped him with litigation skills in insolvency matters, knowledge of civil court processes, and the ability to strategize and leverage legal negotiations.
In 2002, Jikoa started his own firm: Humphrey Williams Solicitors and as the senior partner, had overall management responsibility for 15 staff and three qualified lawyers. Recognising that the traditional model of a solicitors practice would be impacted by the provisions of the Legal Services Act 2007 and remote working, and keen to lend his skills to new styles of delivering tailored consultancy services to clients and business owners, Jikoa relishes the opportunity presented by the approach adopted by Taylor Rose.
