Thu 23 September 2021 Shortlisted for Family Team of the Year - London

Nicola Jones-King, Head of our Family & Children department is very pleased to announce that the London Team have been shortlisted for Family Team of the Year – London in the Family Law Awards 2021. In recognition of what the team stands for and the high standards of legal service everyone continues to provide to clients despite lockdowns during the pandemic and through the merger of Taylor Rose TTKW and McMillian Williams Solicitors.

"There has been the most significant change in working practise I have ever seen, with clients, courts, and us having to adapt very quickly to remote working, and with a huge rises in care and domestic abuse clients needing help during last year and now a steady increase in separation and divorce.

That the team is shortlisted for the second year in a row, is testament to their adaptability and dedication. Also, the true team spirit and cooperation that makes this team amongst the best in London, and being shortlisted again recognises that ongoing achievement,” she comments.

As part of Taylor Rose MW, we advise clients across a wide range of services. Taylor Rose MW has over 30 offices nationwide, with headquarters based at London Bridge and operational headquarters in Peterborough. Taylor Rose MW also has a tailored consultants programme which further extends the firm’s geographical coverage.

As a specialist Family Law team, we undertake publicly funded certificated work and private family work:

We are a strong, dedicated team of lawyers with a commitment to legal aid, and an emphasis on growing young lawyers. They develop close links with agencies in the geographical areas they cover. Each has a responsibility for a location and works to be embedded in that community, which we strongly believe is the key to clients feeling confident that their needs are understood.

We encourage quality staff by having Solicitors with specialist memberships and active committee engagement, to offer the best levels of service. We have an enviable reputation in Care Proceedings, with nine Children Panel Solicitors; Nicola Jones-King, Amarjit Ryatt, Sheila Gulliver, Sarah, Newens, Barbara Macdonald, Charlotte Collier, Elen Davies, Lisa Ursell, Keeley Lengthorn; and others working towards their applications. Within London we have Resolution Accredited Specialists, Law Society Family Panel members, Collaborative trained lawyers and arbitrators.

We work with a number of domestic abuse organisations, providing Pro-Bono Legal advice;

We are members of FLOWS (Finding Legal Options for Women Survivors) offering online domestic abuse advice and representation.

It is testament to the team that we are being sought out as the firm that can ensure quick protection for victims the quickest. We have not allowed the constraints of working remotely to impact on the quality of service provided to those who are in desperate need. This period has shown the enhanced skills and dedication of our team, whose commitment and innovation, has allowed our clients to be supported throughout.

Our reviews and testimonials display our clients’ positive feedback.
